'THE ANIMATOR' SHORT FILM - May 2018

The Animator was a short film I made as I was drawing to the end of my last year of university. It was the first time I had animated a fully Plasticine character with a hand-made armature as part of a narrative.

Because of this I kept to a simple structure in order to focus on the timing and emotions of the character, and drew from my own experience of animating.

The short was received incredibly well and even went on to win an RTS Yorkshire Student Award for 'Best Animation' in March 2019.
