LAUFEY: SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN' TO TOWN - Music Video Animation at Scale Model Studios

Scale Model Studios got in touch with me in late 2025, inviting me to animate on their project for Laufey's Christmas hit. This was in-studio, with puppets and sets made by the extremely talented in-house team. The attention to detail, even on a project with a quick turnaround, was astounding. My favourite touch was the "Extra nice list", which had all our names on it!
Most of my shots can be found in the red living room segment, including the longer shot of them dancing together to the chorus. I also animated them flying out of the window, which was a lot of fun and involved a zipline-style rig above the set!
Jen and the team were a delight to work with, and it's been genuinely uplifting to see so many people react positively to the animation in the comments of the video, especially in this AI-dominated landscape.
